9th October - Paynesville – Camp 659 (Numeralla River Rest Area)

Today is the start of our 6 week trek up to outback Qld to the town of Boulia.  We are hoping to do the “Dinosaur Trek” written up in last month’s Royal Auto.  Beautiful sunny morning, no wind, a few clouds and a perfect day to start our holiday.  Lunch at Cann River and then onto Cooma where Barry had a look around the “Correctional Facility” (Gaol).  Inmates do the tours so very interesting. Next time we are passing through we will stop and have a real good look.  We are camped for the night beside the Numeralla River 20kms north of Cooma.  Fire going and flathead, salad & chips on the fire for dinner.  Too Good.
